Dr. Romeo is the Associate Director of WISER for Central Venous Cannulation Training. He received his B.S. degree from The Pennsylvania State University and his M.D. degree from the Pennsylvania State University School of Medicine. He is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine. His residency training in anesthesiology occurred at the University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center. After his residency training, Dr. Romeo joined the faculty at Pitt.

Dr. Romeo is an accomplished teacher. He has received several departmental and University awards for teaching excellence. His interest is in bringing simulation education to the medical school curriculum, anesthesia residency program and CME. He has designed and taught simulation courses for second through fourth-year medical students focusing on clinical procedures and obstetrical anesthesia. He is also director of the central venous cannulation training course. He has taught difficult airway management and fiberoptic intubation for continuing medical education. Dr. Romeo has presented his work to the Society of Education in Anesthesiology, the Society of Obstetric Anesthesiology and Perinatology, the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
