In the 2006-2007 academic year, WISER continued an increase in utilization of the center in terms of number of training encounters, number of unique individuals using WISER and the number of facilitators teaching WISER programs.
There was a 13% increase in the number of classes that were held at WISER. The total number of participants taking classes at WISER this academic year increased by 11%. There was a significant increase in the number of facilitators from 164 in the previous academic year to 220 in academic year 2006-2007. This represents a 34% increase. The total participant hours that were spent in courses at WISER also increased by 13%. There was an increase in unique participants at the center to nearly 2,940 this academic year. The number of new courses that were offered at WISER also increased from 16 in the previous academic year to 23 in the 2006-2007 academic year.
This year WISER opened its McKeesport Satellite Center. The new center held 59 classes this year with 346 individuals participating in programs at the facility. There were a total of 34 facilitators that taught courses at McKeesport. WISER continues to increase its growth and looks forward to another academically successful year with further expansion into new satellite facilities.
