WISER had a large presence at the 2012 International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) in San Diego, California.

WISER had a large presence at the 2012 International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) in San Diego, California. There were over 3,100 participants at this year's IMSH. This year, Dr. Paul Phrampus became the president elect of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. As well as become president elect, Dr. Phrampus was also part of a preconference round table discussion titled "Translation and Beyond - International Curriculum Sharing" and a preconference course "Structured Debriefing: Scalable, Teachable, and Testable ."

Several other WISER team members had significant roles in this year's meeting. John Lutz, Director of Information Technology, led several workshops titled "Advanced Data Analysis and Reporting" and "Common Definitions for Data Management and Reporting of Simulation Center Activities."Mr. Lutz also lectured on "Getting Data Out of You Laerdal Simulator and Into Your Reports and Research Projects." Tom Dongilli, Director of Operations, served as course director for several sessions: "A Simulation Journey: Developing, Designing, and Constructing the University of Wisconsin Health Clinical Simulation Program and Center," "Meet the Sim Consultants," "Experts of Administration," "Competencies for Simulation Specialists," " Experts of Mobile Simulation," and "Experts in AV." Mr. Dongilli also served as faculty for "Fundamentals of Building a Successful Policy and Procedure Manual." Daniel Battista, Director of Administration, served as course director for "Fundamentals of Building a Successful Policy and Procedure Manual” and faculty for “Experts in Administration."
