WISER hosts the Innovations in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Conference

On June 4th and 5th WISER hosted the Innovations in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery-Hysterectomy and Beyond Conference, which was sponsored by the Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology Worldwide (AAGL). This three day course hosted both national and international guests, the target audience consisted of gynecologists and gynecologic surgeons looking to not only refine their skills, but also to develop new ones.
The first two days were held at WISER where participants were able to attend both lectures and interactive hands-on workshops. The third day participants viewed live surgeries at Magee Woman's Hospital, which provided gynecologists with a solid foundation in advanced minimally invasive pelvic surgical techniques based on sound, safe and anatomical surgical principles. To optimize the learning experience of the participants, the conference was divided into multiple didactic sessions along with hands on workshops using the latest technologies in surgical simulation. WISER was pleased to be able to host the first two days of this conference that brought in national presenters with presentations that focused on the many different types of laparoscopic surgeries and the field of gynecology.
