Dr Phrampus Receives Appreciation Award from Korean Military

Dr. Phrampus recently returned from Daejon, Korea where he lectured on the importance of simulation in military medicine and also participated in the evaluation of several military simulation scenarios that are in the process of being developed. While at the Military Medicine academy, Dr. Phrampus was awarded an appreciation plaque by the Commander of Korean Military Medical Education for his efforts in helping the South Korean Military move forward with the development of simulation efforts in their educational programs. The event occurred at the SAVE center, a state-of-the art five story simulation center at the home of the Korean Military Medical Training Academy in Daejon.
Dr. Phrampus has previously lectured and conducted a number of workshops on scenario design and debriefing at the Korean Military Medicine Academy as well as the Korean Armed Forces Nursing Academy, which is located on the same base in Daejon. The combined academies represent the heart of the Korean Military's educational efforts for training military medicine, nursing, and combat medics. The centers are also responsible for the development of continuing education programs to ensure force readiness and competencies.
