Dr. Ake Grenvik receives lifetime achievement award
Retired WISER Research Director, Ake Grenvik,MD, PhD, was honored Sept. 18 for lifetime achievement at a dinner hosted by University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University Club. Dr. Grenvik was one of the leading forces in the development of WISER and the institution it has grown to become today. With his guidance and mentoring, WISER has become one the leading simulation centers in the world. In recognition of Dr. Grenvik and his dedication to simulation and education, WISER each year presents the Ake Grenvik Award for Academic Excellence. This award is given to an individual who demonstrates Dr. Grenvik's outstanding leadership and a dedicated commitment toward creative approaches in simulation based education and assessment. WISER would like to congratulate Dr. Grenvik on another deserving honor.
