The Mercy Hospital School of Nursing second year students completed the First Five Minutes course at WISER last week. Taught by Mercy Nursing Instructors and Tom Dongilli, this course was used to enhance critical thinking skills before entering their level two curriculum and clinical rotations. This experience prepared the student's to implement a plan when finding an unresponsive patient on the clinical unit thus facilitating a better correlation of the didactic component to the clinical component. The students rated this simulation experience very positive 4.75 on a scale of 1-5. A student stated that "I feel more comfortable and confident about implementing what I learned."
