Dr. Paul Phrampus, Director of WISER, recently had the opportunity to participate in the Asian Conference on Emergency Medicine in Busan, South Korea. The focus of this meeting is emergency medicine in Asia. The scientific meeting is the largest of its kind and had an attendance of over 1100 emergency medicine delegates participants from 19 countries which included: Australia, Bahrain, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and the United States. There were a total of 270 scientific papers presented, 165 oral presentations and 105 poster presentations. There were also 104 exhibitors from all over the world at this conference.
Dr. Phrampus served as the chair for two oral presentation sessions and presented a keynote address on the future of simulation in emergency medicine. Dr. Phrampus also led a round table discussion with 20 leaders form various departments of Emergency Medicine throughout South Korea .
