About the Course
This is a 5-site mixed-methods simulation study which addresses the following Aims.
Aim 1: Develop and test an updated and unified cognitive model and taxonomy for clinician decision making strategies used in critical event management.
Aim 2: Use principal components analysis to create profiles of participants’ clinical practice and simulation experience.
Aim 3: Determine the critical event performance ratings of physicians and analyze them using multivariate models
Aim 4: Evaluate the relationship between simulation-based performance assessment and existing metrics of physicians’ competence (i.e., primary Board certification examination scores).
