About the Course
Older adults are the core business of healthcare institutions. Due to the complexity of chronic health issues in this population, it is necessary for nurses to enhance their critical thinking skills. The process requires a comprehensive analysis of the competing factors of multiple geriatric syndromes in an effort to promote positive health outcomes. This course will be designed to address the complexity of caring for older adults. The nurse will review the history, medications and the current atypical presentation of illness.  The nurse will differentiate between normal aging versus abnormal aging changes and will anticipate potential adverse responses to treatment.

When you register for a class you will be prompted to login. If you do not have a WISER user account, follow the instructions on the login screen to create an account. You can then register for a class after the account creation process is complete.
