Comprehensive Evaluation and Integrated Curriculum of Patient Management for Emergency Medicine Residents
About the Course
This course serves as the vehicle to teach and assess comprehensive patient management relevant to PGY 1 to 3 Emergency Medicine residents. This course will consist of a total of 24 cases throughout the 3 years of training given to each of the residents in groups of 2 to 4. For each case, residents will each be evaluated based on a set of critical actions focusing on the complete management of the patient in addition to required medical knowledge. The subject matter of cases will attempt to cover not only critical illness but management dilemmas and difficult diagnosis in emergency medicine.
