Description: |
The goal for this session is to introduce participants to their hands on role during an induction of general endotracheal (GET) anesthesia. Topics covered and reviewed will include basic airway management skills (facemask ventilation, laryngeal mask airway insertion, and direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation). Participants will also examine and work with the anesthesia machine, particularly the flow meters, circle system, and pop-off valve. Students will then practice, with the simulator, managing a patient's airway during an intravenous induction of GET. |
