Description: 
The Advanced Prehospital Airway Management (APAM) course is designed to cover all aspects of providing high quality airway care to patients in the prehospital setting. Web based study material will cover knowledge necessary to perform the skills and scenarios associated with the day in the simulation center. Recreations of real world scenarios will challenge the EMS providers to prove their mastery of the skills and knowledge needed to perform state of the art prehospital airway care. Specific skills include pharmacology associated with airway care, airway related patient assessment, bag valve mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation, cricothyroidotomy, use of rescue airway devices, and monitoring equipment.
