Description:

This course will provide students with the opportunity to synthesize and apply concepts related to CP assessment and multidisciplinary mgmt of critically ill adults. Thru the use of presentations, discussion and lab sessions the student will explore the pathophysiologic basis of critical CP instability, physical & technologic assessment parameters, and treatment modalities commonly utilized in the care of these patients in the ICU. Hands-on experience in the lab with arterial, central venous & pulmonary artery monitoring, artificial airways & mech. ventilation will be provided.
